Who we are
You probably think that insurance companies are all the same. We certainly did. That's why, in 2011, we set out to build a company that was different, to make a real difference to New Zealanders like you.
For a start, we realised that most of us are underinsured. Not ideal. We wanted to change all that by doing things in a fresh way. And this meant taking a look at what wasn't working for you and how we could fix things.
Once we get a good idea, we keep building on it to make it better and better for you. We're constantly tweaking, refining, changing, adapting, and improving. We say, ‘good enough isn't good enough'.
By building highly effective insurance products, championing financial advice, underwriting prudently and rewarding your loyalty, we like to think that we've changed the game for good, for you.
That's why our purpose can be summed up as “building a brighter and more secure future for all New Zealanders.”
It seems to be working. Today, we've grown from a fledgling start-up to one of the largest life and health insurers in New Zealand, and we're recognised as one of the ‘best in market life and health insurer'. So far so good.
But what really matters to us is how well we protect our clients like you.
